At your feet, you can see the surrounding villages, and if you look hard enough, you might be able to spot the Queen of the Beskids – Mt Babia. The route, although not long, is very varied and scenic. Sound like a plan for the coming weekend? We think so too!
Skała Kmity Nature Reserve – harmony of nature and history
The Skała Kmity Nature Reserve, located near Zabierzów, about 15 km from Kraków, is a unique place, just right for a weekend stroll outside the city. The reserve owes its name to the famous knight, Kmita, who, according to legend, threw himself off a crag here as due to an unhappy and unfulfilled love.
The impressive crag rises spectacularly above the road, providing a great vantage point for viewing the surrounding area. The road to the famous rock leads along a pleasant forest track. From the vantage point, you can make a loop and, after descending to the car park, continue walking along the Grzybowska Valley. What a great trip it will be!
