The restaurant is located in one of the oldest buildings in Zakopane (1891), which housed the first hotel "Pod Giewontem” [At Giewont Peak]. Hotel dining rooms occupied the same premises as the current restaurant. The stylish interior is an echo of the rich Highland tradition. The best attraction of Gazdowo Kuźnia is a cuisine based on unique recipes of local farmers’ wives (gaździny), and the centuries-old tradition of the Old Polish cuisine. The pièce de résistance served in many ways is the whole roasted pig served with aromatic wine sauce, and pig’s knuckle farmer’s style in beer sauce, grilled pork, Highlander tea and many other delicacies from Podhale (the Tatra region). In addition to regional cuisine, the restaurant serves traditional Polish cuisine and traditional home dinners.
