In the 1920s, Muszyna became a health resort, and in 1930, it was admitted to the Association of Polish Health Resorts. However, the first two springs were drilled only in 1932.
The mineral waters found in the town are, among others, "Anna", "Antoni", "Grunwald", "Milusia", "Wapienne", "Józef", and there are several sanatoriums, including Revita, Nestor, Wiarus and Korona.
Thanks to its long history, Muszyna boasts some interesting monuments. The charming, small-town wooden buildings (located on the Wooden Architecture Route) have been preserved, especially in Kościelna Street. The Baroque St Joseph's Church (1676-1728) has the largest Bible Gardens in Poland. While in Muszyna, it is also worth visiting the "State of Muszyna" Regional Museum with its collections dedicated to the history of the region and ethnography, located in a former inn next to the Manor House of the Muszyna Starosts from the 18th century and near the Culture and Old Craft Park.
Muszyna is home to the largest themed gardens in Poland. They are divided into sensory gardens designed to affect all five senses, magical gardens (gardens of love), with statues resembling muses and Greek gods, and biblical gardens, which are an adaptation of the revelation contained in the Holy Scriptures, and through the composition of plants, landscape and architectural installations, they expressively convey the artistic vision of the Word of God and depict scenes from the Old and New Testaments. In the Sensory Gardens, there are eight zones: health, smell, sound, smell and touch, taste, sight, Aphrodite and fairy tales and legends about Muszyna.
Parts of the medieval castle walls in Muszyna dating from around 1390 have survived, and now they provide an excellent vantage point. You can walk from Muszyna towards Jaworzyna Krynicka (about 3 hours) or in the opposite direction into the wild woods of the Leluchowski Range. Coming here in the winter season, it is worth taking advantage of the offer of nearby ski stations, such as Jaworzyna Krynicka or Wierchomla. From 2021, Muszyna can boast of a new Town Hall building, styled on such buildings from the 19th century, and a revitalised market square. The Town Hall houses a museum collection, and the exhibits come from the excavations carried out in the town square. There is also a mineral water intake point in the building.
