The St. Benedict Church in Kraków was built in the 12th century on the Lasota Hill, in place of a former temple.
It is a small stone building which was originally Romanesque, but was remodelled at the turn of the 15th and 16th century. In the church, we may distinguish the nave and the square chancel. The floor and the altar are Baroque while the vault is Gothic. You can visit the temple only twice a year – on the feast day of St. Benedict – 21 March and on the first Tuesday after Easter, when the Rękawka holiday takes place near the church.
