The followers of the Orthodox Church have their own place of worship in Krakow – the Orthodox Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary.
This historical building, dating back to the early 14th century, was adapted for a synagogue in the end of the 19th century. It has been part of the Orthodox parish in Krakow since 1940. The so-called Gothic hall with a unique iconostasis by Jerzy Nowosielski is particularly worth seeing.
